Speedrun Explained 39: Update 2; Speedrun Explained 41: Update 1

Hello everyone! Just a couple quick updates on the two main videos in production right now.

The first video, which is covering the Any% run of the original Demon's Souls is officially in the recording and editing stages. The script is pretty much fully complete, and to be honest, it's the happiest I've been with a script in over a year. Everything really felt like it came together with this one, and I'm excited for all of you to see it come to life. I've begun working on the video and have around the first 7 minutes of the video done. Hopefully I'll be able to have the video to you all to view by the end of next week. In the meantime, here's the thumbnail for the video! Usually I do this last, but I had a free day last week while waiting for script revisions, so I was able to get it done early.

As for the second video in this update post, I've scheduled a call with the runner for the Subnautica video. I was able to get in contact with the runner pretty much right after you all chose it as the winner of the poll, and they got to grinding attempts for the video right away. They just finished up recording the run, and we've scheduled a call for this weekend to go over the details of it. What's nice is that because this call is happening while I'm working on the previous project, then as soon as my plate is clean, I'll be able to hop right into writing.

There's also one other video that I've purposely neglected to mention so far that will be a bit of a surprise release in the first two weeks of March, and no, it's not the Speedrunning & You video. That one is still in the writing stages and likely won't be out for quite some time. This will be a surprise SPEEDRUN EXPLAINED video, akin to the Speedrun to eat a baby video from last year.
