On the Nexus Mods redshift's Remastering Skyrim collections page, just to be evil, it started with version 3. Not the oldest version, and a LONG way from the newest version. So I went through 90% of the install (I was updating .ini files and waiting for some downloads to finish), and saw it's version 3 out of 15 - OUCH. Start again! Hope this helps someone else....

Hey I installed the modlist and everything was working great until I also replaced my stock .ini files with your recommended .ini files. I was getting an insane amount of screen tearing that basically forced me to reinstall everything.

I installed this overnight and it worked flawlessly, all the people that might be having issues might be related to Vortex/Collection bugs, always check the notification bell at the top right, sometimes a mod gets corrupted or doesn't finish installation properly. In those cases Vortex lets you click on "delete and redownload", alternatively close and open vortex again, then click on resume installation and attempt again. For me the Fabolous Follower plugin and COTN Falkreath plugin were disabled (as the post mentions) so those might be the points of contention for people.

Anyone else having trouble with the game ctd after around a minute of playing?

I've got a startup CTD, the kind where the main menu flashes for a moment and then goes straight to desktop. I'm wondering if its a hardware issue on my end seeing as how this is a beefy modlist and my PC is pretty old at this point. If anyone has a fix or an idea of the minimum specs for this modlist please let me know. Update: The issue seems to have been that not having certain AE CC mods was causing the CTD due to a missing masters issue. Turns out my 6 year old PC can run this mod list like a champ!

Nvm, it works now for some reason. I didn't really touch anything.

I installed the collection and mods, step by step and got the same result, LUX doesn't appear to be working, and the fire is blue. I'm on version 14 of the collection, so there shouldn't be any issue. Rudy's ENB is properly installed, as well as the other "manual install" files such as SSE's fixes part 2. Everything else loads fine so I don't know what the issue is.

Assuming it's plugins to with the mod "Lux"? Yeah, that's fine you can keep them disabled, they're patches for the Anniversary Edition content and are auto-disabled if you don't have it.

just gone through the whole process again with version 14 and I am also experiencing the lighting issues with blue lights, and the indoor lighting doesn't seem to work either

Also, after working past all those issues, just to get the game launched, it crashes on the first load screen everytime

Just spent 5 hours on this, cathedral 3d pine grass and lux are both causing crashed to the version 14 load order. I was also forced to disable anything regarding ENB's because the enb wont work (excluding leaving the "enb water" mod alone...... and I did install the enb's properly 100% certain)

I downloaded the collection and followed the instructions to a tee and my game is all desaturated and crashes after 15 seconds. Not able to even open the ENB settings for some reason. The only mods I have are the ones in the collection and the two additional. Any help would be appreciated. Version 14 btw.

not sure what i did but it worked for a while, so clearly there is some way to get it to work, but now its gone back to that

same issue as Chris & CySiUPL, in coc riverwoodfaendalshouse the fire was red at first but then turned blue the 2nd time i launched

I did everything like in video but many mods seems to not work like LUX for example + fire is blue and mountains have no texturest.

Well, Bethesda just nuked Skyrim modding once again. Hopefully everything is updated soon so we can put out a working version of this collection as it is quite good.

I downgraded to 1.6.640 and everything is working but I don’t have any creation club content and can’t download them because i have to be on the current version any way I can get them?

I downgraded skyrim sse to 1.6.640 and skse to 2.2.3 so I’m not really sure where I went wrong. I followed the video guide and I used revision 10 of the mod list :(

You have to downgrade sse patch and skse to older version.

I downgraded my Skyrim to the 1.6.640 version but whenever I launch SKSE, it opens Skyrim for a brief second and then it crashes. It works fine when I launch through SKSE with no mods running though.

You don't have to wait you can just downgrade skyrim to version 1.6.640 and it should work.

Ok for anyone wondering I managed to downgrade the game and download the modlist and everything works perfectly. Downgrade Patcher doesn't work for 1.6.640 version so I did it the other way: win + r -> steam://open/console Run one by one: download_depot 489830 489831 3660787314279169352 download_depot 489830 489832 2756691988703496654 download_depot 489830 489833 5291801952219815735 from "\steamapps\content\" move all the files to skyrim's folder and replace all Then you need to install older version of skse as well as the sse patch.

Hi Redshift, I think I got it working as the mods weren't installed on the same drive. Started over and I think it's working, interior lighting looks like yours on the video etc. I think the lines on screen were something to do with gsync or vsync, one of the two. I changed a setting and also capped FPS to 60 and that has fixed it. I'm still not totally sure if it's all looking how it should. I will message on discord when I get back on the PC. Thanks.

Hi, just finished doing all the steps in the video. Issue I've got is when my character is moving, some lines are appearing when I look around with the mouse, like screen tearing. I am positive I followed all instructions 100%, and have a 4070 graphics card. Any ideas how I can fix this? - EDIT: On second thought, I don't think any of the graphical mods are loading, there doesn't seem to be any changes to the vanilla look. Help!

The mountain is missing on the path to the Jarl's Longhouse in Falkreath. I have patches downloaded for other mods I installed (missives, sons of skyrim, live another life) but the same problem persists. I haven't added any other mods that would affect the landscape

For SKSE after copying the .dll and .exe to the skyrim folder. In the Data folder I don't see any of those folders at 6:58 on mine. I only see ShaderCache and Video and a bunch of other .bsa .esl files. Help?

To download it, you do have to use Vortex. there are some ways to then import them into MO2 but I have not tried them so I can’t recommend them.

Ive found a way to scale the whole thing down via the SSE tweaks. Also i should have realized that the fact that im playing on an ultrawide 2560x1920 monitor has something to do with it haha.

Of course, you can change whatever you like. As for LOOT, I'm sure there it's fine to use, I seriously doubt it would do any harm.

I was also wondering if it is save to reinstall some mods again just to change some settings to my liking in the FOMOD installer? How would i go about integrating a 2k mountain version in the load order without messing anything up? Which would be the easier option? Ive installled the eFPS and PureDarks upscaler and have definetly seen an improvement!

The video was amazing I followed everything step by step yet I'm stuck on finishing the download. It says that vortex failed to download dependency's for Dragon and Armor Retexture SE- half Res because it doesn't have access "it's write protected"

You could do everything I listed and you would definitely gain FPS. It varies from mod to mod, some authors host lower quality versions as a seperate mod, some include them in the installation. For the mountains, I was actually mistaken there is no 4K version. However, I made a 2K version for myself, I could guide you through how to downsize the textures or you could just swap them out for an equally good mountain texture that does come with a 2K version.

Thanks for diving deeper into it. I Assume i can select between 8/4k version if i reinstall the mod and access an installation menu? Though i can see sturkbro´s offer a 1k version as a seperate mod. i´ll look into the performance enhancers you mention. again. Would you reccomend going for all the ones you listed or just one or 2 of them? thanks aigan for the help :)

Hmm - if it's really bad you could do a few things. I'd first start with swapping out the moutain texture for the 2K version rather than the 4k and just swap the rest of the textures with their 2K versions (let me know if you need help doing that), you could get some performacne enchaning mods like SSE Display Tweaks, Paramount - Alternates and eFPS or you could get PureDark's upscaler which would increase your performance by approx 15fps.

That's weird , lots of people having issues with Lux for some reason - hit up my discord and I'll send screenshots of all the settings (redshift0) - Also you may just need to enable VSync which you can do by hitting shift+enter and at the top left you'll see engine, just check the VSync box.

You could go about disabling some ENB features for more FPS. You could start with Depth of Field (I lose around 7fps to this) and Detailed Shadows (I lose around 3 fps to this)

Skyrim is intended to run at 60fps. You can uncap it but you might experience some bugs related to the physics. SSE Display Tweaks (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/34705) fixes those issues so you can play with whatever FPS you want. To uncap the FPS you need to press shift + enter. Now that the ENB menu is open you should see an FPS counter option at the top left under "LIMITER", also at the top left you'll see "ENGINE" to uncheck VSync if you need to. To raise the resolution: go to your SkyrimPrefs.ini and change iSize H=1080 and ISize W=1920 to whatever resolution you're aiming for.

Great guide! Iv'e follwed it to the letter. However, im on a laptop with a 11400 CPU and 1650 GPU - getting about 25-30 FPS in Whiterun - and 20ish outside. Any suggestions as to changes i could make to make it run better? Any downscaling on the resolutions on the mods? Also it seems a little dark to me - is there any settings in ENB or something to do with that? Cheers! Really good work mate Edit: Now this is turning into a thread - but. In case there is nothing to do in terms of settings, which of the mods are the most demanding ones? I have a feeling the forest/grass and ENB are up there. Yes defintely an issue with Lux - update the collection and ensure all the plugins are enabled and see if that fixes it!

That sounds like a glitch with Lux - first I would update the collection - once that's finished go into the plugins tab to ensure everything is enabled. And then see if that fixes it - let me know if you have any problems

Figured it out, for some reason the collection doesnt automatically enable all of the plugins needed for it to work and because of that lighting mods like LUX that edits light sources didnt work so just enable all of the plugins and everything should then be in working order

No - it should only be SkyUI

oh woops, my bad then. haven't played skyrim in a while ^^ Overall i felt that the game looked a little flat, like some shadows were missing. But when playing some more i think that was just the lighting in helgen, because when i got out of helgen it started to look more like in your video!

That's just how it is - there's no shadow of your character in 1st person because they aren't really there, just like how you can't look down at your own body. Thanks for the list! A slight problem tho.. (so far at least, i haven't played more then the intro) I don't seem to have any shadows, at least not from the characters.. Tho when i tested it in faendals house, my char cast a shadow in 3rd person but not in 1st person

Enb is loading up and appears to be installed properly

Yeah no retextures on the face or skin. The beards aren't loading in right just show up like make up and the lighting/area textures are all vanilla

Well very strange, I gave it a last chance today and it worked. Don’t know why but restarting vortex and my pc a hundred times seemed to worked 😂 thank you very much. I haven’t played skyrim for 2 years, survival mode is totally new for me. But I think I will upgrade my pc to fully use the mods potential

Well looks like vortex doesn’t like me at all. I can’t even download your mod collection without problems and failed downloads and destroyed files (wtf 😳) Some mods are downloaded and replaced like 5 times. And that’s with premium. I’ve spent literally two days with this. I think I will deinstall everything and play something else because thinking about skyrim makes me insane at this moment which is a shame 🥲 But I appreciate your effort
