I have been feeling stuck with my workflow for drawing an image:
Rough sketch, Construction, Refined sketch, Inks, Flats, etc.

This sequence of drawing isn't bad btw. But to me, it has become redundant and very time inefficient.

So I've made some changes. My current workflow is:
precise sketch/ construction, Inks, Flats, etc.

It's faster, and I feel like it forces me to measure, and pay more attention to shapes. Also I think it makes the end product more expressive? Less stiff, more intentional.

I incorporated the new workflow into this image, and it's definitely a step forward.

I feel like I'm getting closer to the art goals I made earlier this year. Progress isn't linear, and I'm okay with that.
