I'M BACK (am I?)
Added 2017-04-13 20:06:40 +0000 UTCHey, All! I have returned in a triumphant come back video. (me doing my make up and talking about failure). I'm gonna do VEDIM next month (a video every day in May). What are you up to? Do any of you make videos on Youtube? I want to see them. I know Matt Palka (a patreon) does and I think it's a shame more people don't watch them. (here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYIuXAB4vn0 ). I am currently three months behind in shirts (january, febaury, and march). But Byron and I just placed an order for the shirts and they're being shipped to him now for printing! They should be in your hands by the end of the month. I was thinking today about how being behind on shirts, which I am consistently, consistently keeps me from posting here because I don't want to say anything until I'm all caught up. But the truth of it is that I am usually behind and if I waited until I was on top of everything I would never post anything. Here's my video today! Might make it public tomorrow or in an hour. Undecided. Hope your week is well!

I want to start a youtube channel but fear is definitely what's holding me back atm. It's part fear of starting - I've never edited audio or video before and don't really have the time to put into researching that kind of thing right now - and part fear of failure. Probably the first video I'll record will be a cover of Not Over You; that song is one of my absolute favourites and I already have the karaoke track you released to patrons. In future though, I'd like to accompany myself on piano or clarinet, or even learn uke or guitar. Lofty ambitions!

2017-04-13 20:24:53 +0000 UTCI really admire your ability to hold yourself accountable by telling people your goals and sticking to them (or trying to) because it was a fear of yours once, but is now fuel to try harder. I find that the same thing happened when I started stating my goals out loud and allowing others to help me stay accountable, and to make them more real. It surprised me when I hit those goals and found that the big scary thing wasn't as scary, or wasn't impossible, like I had originally thought it was. So yay! Keep working at it!
