SDA Pre-Release Challenges

Hello everyone!

I hope those who downloaded the pre-release are enjoying Version 3.4! However, you may have noticed that the new lines sound different compared to the old ones.

As mentioned in the pre-release announcement post, Kerstyn had to get new recording gear after an unfortunate accident, and as such, the lines she's recorded now sound different compared to before. For those who haven't played 3.4 yet, or haven't noticed, we have two videos to demonstrate the differences. Thanks to Taylor for creating these!

Kerstyn and I are working on fixing this issue, and I've been in talks with her since yesterday. We're redoing all the audio for consistency's sake. If it's not ready for the full release, expect it as a bugfix patch after the main release.

Version 3.4 will not be delayed, as I know many people are anticipating it. I just want to let y'all know that the audio needs improvement and is not final. Even after the full release, Version 3.3 will still be kept on the mod page as an optional download, as regardless of audio issues 3.4 may not work on existing saves (I mentioned this before).

I am still thinking about how to handle this on Xbox (it doesn't allow multiple files per mod page), but probably will just make a completely separate mod page either for 3.3 or 3.4.
