Polar Pattern Tests | AUDIO TEST

I think Stereo and Cardioid sound the best, but I know the other modes are used for other things. As far as I know, I won't be having anyone else on the other side of the mic anytime soon, so Bidirectional and Omnidirectional are kind of useless right now.
Those two also pick up a lot of background noise ><

2024-07-02 23:31:28 +0000 UTCThanks so much!! Yeah I'm still trying to figure out Stereo mode. It feels like the mic doesn't really pick things up well for the L + R combo. I did try Cardioid finally for the full audio with this test-voice, so hopefully it turned out well ^^

2024-07-02 23:31:19 +0000 UTCYeah, I'd definitely recommend cardioid mode if you're doing a roleplay that is just about getting close in general. While I'd recommend stereo if the audio is going to involve whispering in different ears. Just make sure that if you're recording in stereo mode, your recording program is set up to record in stereo in both left and right channels. Bi and omni are only really useful if you want to record a group of people in a circle with the mic at the center. Also, that character voice you used for the test was absolutely adorable and I love it!
