WHAT PLANET IN THE REVENANT IS SHE FROM?
(As an aside, the following broad cultural descriptions are meant to define the majority peoples from each particular planet for the sake of this little character back story. While all of the planets within the system are pretty intertwined, culturally, with the empire at large, each one contains a rich and diverse cultural intermingling unique to each planet that is being smoothed out for the sake of simplicity in this exercise. And for all six of you that could possible have an interest in that anecdote, you’re welcome.)

CHOOSE AN ORIGIN PLANET:
Nilea (N-EYE-lee-UH): The ancient home planet of the civilization that eventually became the Averess and the now grand capital of the Revenant. Breathtakingly beautiful, the planet is rich in natural resources that are kept and maintained by a planet-wide automated network of nature sustaining and cultivating technology. Nilea is both the resource powerhouse of the entire Revenant Empire and the last fully intact piece of Averess technology that can be studied and reverse engineered. The Nilians are known for their scientists, philosophers, and inventors. The people are often tall with disciplined posture and wiry athletic builds. Their sun-kissed golden to warm tan skin is contrasted with their almost metalic colored straight silver and gold hair and their vibrant, fiery toned eyes. Their cultural fashion is usually simple, yet elegant.
Seul’a (sey-oo-l, AH): The very first fully terraformed planet, it was built as a dedication to the art and beauty of the ancient Empire. It’s entire culture dedicated to cultivating the dimensions of the soul through beautiful artistic expression (because that used to be a thing they could do.) While it was once a gorgeous interlocking piece of masterfully crafted artwork, it is now the shattered front lines of the endless war with the Xtazi. It’s once perfect surface now marred with destruction and the makeshift cities built to support the war effort. The Seuli fight passionately to defend the last remnants of their homes former splendor. Besides their endless courage, the Seuli are known for their artists, architects, and craftsman. The people commonly have deep, dark brown skin and curly hair in warm brown to stark black colored tones. They are renowned for their striking, colorful, lightly bioluminescent eyes. They are frequently tall to medium height and their cultural fashion is expressive and bold, often using light or glowing elements .
Sucryides (Soo-CREY-id-EEs): Also a terraformed planet, Sucryides is the nexus of technological innovation and robotics in the Empire. Their civilization a glittering digital marvel. Heavily integrated with tech, the Sucrids focus on cultivating technology that is heavily divorced from magic. Or to directly counter it. Sucrids are known for their engineers, industry, and inventors. The people are usually notably shorter with slender yet powerful builds. They have often heavily freckled olive to light brown skin and rich, earthy hair and eye colors. Their cultural fashion is sleek and integrated with personal devices and interfaces. Often this tech is fashionably integrated directly into their biology.
Teshan (T-EH-Sh-Aah-n): One of the sister moons orbiting Nilea repurposed to house the refugees of the former planet Atriea, the furthest planet in the deep dark of the system and the first to fall to Xtazi annihilation. A culture so completely immersed in the exploration of magic they almost seem half present in reality. While little is truly known about how the cataclysm took place, there are some that believe the Atrieans meddling with magic was at fault for creating the Xtazi. While others believe it was through the sacrifice of this lost people that prevented the cataclysm from being complete. Regardless, they exist today as the foremost authority on magic and it is their knowledge of the deep inner threads within that allow the Revenant to ward off the insidious encroachment of the Void. Teshanites have an exotic, ethereal beauty. Medium to short in stature with elegant dancer-like builds, their skin is so delicately pale it almost seems to glow. Their hair is dark, inky black with hints of cool tones and, due to their strange magical nature, seems to slightly drift through the air as if they were underwater. Their eyes are startlingly vibrant blues and purples and their cultural fashion is often stark white. Striking and simple.
Utera. (YOO-t-air-ah): A frozen, inhospitable planet cut off mid-terraform during the cataclysm. It’s centuries of isolation adapting a survivalist society that is completely tied to the whims of its harsh climate. Even though it resides within enemy territory it has successfully repelled Xtazi dominion based solely on their cultures ability to survive an almost impossible environment. Known for their survivalism, innovative adaptation, and inhuman toughness, Uterans are born warriors. They commonly have tall, imposing builds. Fair skin and hairs of pale reds, wheat-y browns, and blondes. Their eyes are also pale, yet colorful. A beautiful contrast to the whitewashed world around them. Their cultural fashion is dictated almost entirely by its practical utility. But heavy, intricate tattooing on the arms and torso is a very common form of artistic expression.
