Is our character a….
Option 1: Templar
Front line small unit leadership. Responsible for commanding standard troops in direct combat. Uses heavy arms combined with light and fast defensive or support magic. Equipped with heavy weapons (LMG, heavy assault weapons, and magi-tech plasma weapons) and Templar melee weapons. Renowned for their super human strength and resilience. Usually uses medium armor. Gives off real gritty FPS protagonist energy.
Option 2: Combat Sorcerer
Special forces shock troop. Work alone or in small numbers. Using their speed and acrobatic mobility, their main objective is to disrupt enemy formations and target special units on the field. They use full-tilt offensive magic revolving around destructive elemental magic and melee enhancements combined with martial arts and small arms. Picture….magic gun monks
Option 3: Field Cleric
Field support. Often known as “Battle Angels.,” they can either be attached to a combat unit or float to where they are needed most. They use powerful healing and defensive magic and are equipped with heavy close-to-medium range weaponry (hand cannons, combat shotguns) and magi-tech melee weapons. They are usually medium-to-heavily armored and their defenses are greatly enhanced through magic.
Option 4: Weapon Master
Rare and valuable special unit specializing in targeted assault or key position defense. Utilizing enhancement or light, fast offensive magic. Most notable for their devastating use of magi-tech plasma blades. But also sniper rifles, assault weapons, SMG, sidearms or anything else the situation calls for. Usually lightly armored. But can be medium or even heavy, depending on their individual style.
Option 5: Arch Mage Commander
Combat command. Leader of all local troops. Usually located in the center or most defensible location under special Templar guard or a designated Weapon Master to protect against targeted assassination. They are the heavy magic artillery that deliver massive AOE attacks from a distance or enhance and support large units of troops. No standard load out but can use Staves, scepters, or magic foci and an emergency sidearm. Usually light or unarmored. Big boss energy
