This one was challenging for me. Mostly because I don't want to lead anyone astray.
This is 'A' way, not 'THE' way.
Let me know if this is helpful at all. It was pretty fun for me to really examine my process. But I think it runs the risk of being too esoteric.

The spatial relationship between the different parts. Sometimes when I look at my sketch, it juuust doesn't look right, and I can't put my finger on it. But if I pay attention to the unique shapes made by the negative space of the reference, I can finally see the subtle mistakes in angles or scale
