F4SE UPDATE

Currently, we're eagerly anticipating progress on the F4SE front. It's nearly complete, and once it's ready, we can proceed with our necessary steps.

For those eagerly anticipating updates regarding F4SE or checking out the logs shared on our Discord, it's important to keep in mind that the information in these logs isn't always accurate or helpful. It might create a sense of imminent release when, in reality, the update might still be some time away.

We are speaking to Ian behind the scenes as well as working through the multitude of fixes with other projects as we speak. FOLON is much larger than what is required than the basic NexusMod, we need to wait for the final and correct version of F4se in order to even begin to proceed with what we need to update the mod.

However, there's an ongoing issue with the current next-gen version that needs attention. It's likely Bethesda will issue another update to address this. While it won't necessarily be a major overhaul, we'll still need to make adjustments accordingly.

The timing is crucial here. A minor update from Bethesda typically only takes a matter of days to implement, even on the F4SE front. (small updates are non-issues, only the major update to F4SE, the one we're eagerly awaiting, has been the lengthiest part of this process.)

Chances are, Bethesda will roll out their fix for the next-gen version before F4SE and our adjustments are finalised. So, essentially, it's all part of the same cycle.

In saying that, if history repeats itself and Bethesda's update arrives shortly after we're ready, we'll likely go ahead and release our updated mod as planned, and then make any necessary tweaks and updates afterwards moving forward.

We're not keen on prolonging this due to BGS technical glitches. At that point, we'd prefer to address any issues as they arise rather than holding back the release.
