Added 2022-02-09 19:01:02 +0000 UTCThis scene is a bit reminiscent of a past scene where he was cooking risotto as well—this is sort of intentional; I'm trying to show that he's cooking something he's confident about and something that is a staple in their diet. Plus, the girl has bragged about this specific dish, so I think story-wise, it makes sense for him to cook it.
In the scene, Sarah starts to tease him, and I hope I wrote this well. I'm trying to showcase the differences in personalities and also slowly build up to the next scene, kind of like she is doing to our MC ;)
I also hope the awkwardness of the girl being there during dinner was conveyed well and that the dialogue was believable/reads well. I did spend quite a bit of time editing this scene already, but I'll probably keep working on it for a while longer.

The cooking might have been a bit too much, I had it shorter first, but it felt like Sarah showed up too quickly into the scene. I had to buy some time somehow, and I hope the next scene delivers ^^
