"Hive Mind" Poll - Patreon Edition

Earlier today we set up a new poll over on our YouTube community page featuring five match-ups that have been cropping up a lot here on the Patreon. The aim of this new 'Hive Mind' poll is just to get a snapshot of what fans think of a bunch of match up ideas. A win doesn't mean a match up will be made, whilst a loss doesn't mean an idea is in the trash. We think all five of these ideas have real potential. :)

We were just gonna conduct the poll on YouTube, but it's always interesting to see what all you beautiful patrons think about stuff too. So, pick your favorite match-up from the list and maybe tell us why you like it the best or which others you like/hate in the comments below...

The one I keep throwing around is actually pretty interesting Les Paul the man who actually invented the electric guitar versus Jimi Hendrix the greatest electric guitar player that ever lived who also has the same birthday as Bruce Lee

Daniel Allen Barnes

Rod Serling vs. HP Lovecraft Tim Burton versus Hayao Miyazaki and Amelia Earhart versus Dale Earnhardt senior are all worthy battles like those should have already been made but it ain't up to me

Daniel Allen Barnes

Earhart v Earnhardt was my vote. There is so much story between the two of them that would make for fun material to write from.

I'd like to see Nero vs. Dong Zhuo, to be honest, but these are all good suggestions, it's so hard to pick just one!

Thomas 'Kranodor' Hahn

Armstrong third party

Eoghan Sheehan

Unpopular opinion it seems, but I like Burton vs. Miyazaki the least. Sure, the visual contrast would be nice but there's not much either could or would say about the other, in my opinion. I'd much rather Miyazaki go up against John Lasseter, but most people probably wouldn't know who he is. Now, Earhart vs. Earnhardt on the other hand... This is an amazing (and non-obvious) matchup on multiple levels, from their names to their professions to their lives and presumed deaths. I think it could really be a sleeper hit kind of episode. Plus we don't have nearly enough male vs. female battles!

Leo M. R.

The correct answer is "all of the above."

Shawn Ravenfire

Burton vs Miyazaki would be amazing visually but that would take a considerable funding cost to do it properly

Derek Pritchard

While the H. P. Lovecraft idea is a second choice for me, this Miyazaki battle is absolute gold. The animation styles present would make for an artistic battle.

Serling wrote all kinds of stories but is remembered for the boogeymen from Twilight Zone, but at the heart, he's an optimist. So many of his stories are about finding hope even when things get weird. It's overcome vs succumb- when I think Lovecraft, I think darkness and madness. That contrast between the two would make for some fun visuals. Plus, you get an automatic Planet of the Apes cameo as a Serling background throw-in. I remember that blowing my mind when I found out that he wrote that too.

Scott Nap

Red wig, red neck beard. I bet they could just get away with the red wig though. It would be difficult to make that beard style look good at all.

Hoaks2

HP Lovecraft vs HR Geiger would be much better

Richard Cupal

Obligatory all of them comment

Joseph Fortwengler

Nero's a ginger neckbeard.

Foxdoc

I think Mussolini vs. Nero would be great. Lloyd could pull off Mussolini and Peter could do Nero because nobody knows what Nero looks like. No worry about being mean because they were both assholes. It would also be a good chance to get in a real vs. real battle.

Hoaks2

Would prefer Carl Sagan vs Galileo

SwanSong

Burton vs Miyazaki has such fan favorite characters and would lend itself to AMAZING visuals
