The reason why people were talking about a 1D reunion is that there have been articles coming out since the past few days saying that a source close to the boys said 1D were planning a reunion before Liam’s passing and they still might do it. But all the news organizations that reported on it seem kinda shady so it could all just be made up.

2024-12-07 02:50:32 +0000 UTCmy thoughts on the possibility of a 1D reunion: i don’t know if the boys will ever get together now, but i think a lot of them were in a place before liam’s passing that it was the most likely it has been in years. zayn seems to have, for the most part, made peace with that time in his life, acknowledging the past in a way he hasn’t since he left the band. he’s even done a tribute to liam every night he’s been on tour. louis said after liam’s death that the two of them had been reminiscing about the time they shared together and that he would have loved to share the stage with him again if fate permitted. i don’t know what niall and harry’s headspace is, but the two of them never shut down the possibility of a reunion when they were asked—they both said they thought it would happen at some point. no matter what they choose to do, it’s valid. they lost someone who, in many ways, they grew up with. they all acknowledged liam as a brother, even though each member had a vastly different relationship with him. underneath everything, they had a special bond because of what they went through together.
