Welp Me Out!

Hey Welpdom. Nathan here. I'm going to be embarking on an epic undertaking. In a few days I'll be releasing a video detailing my next Media adventure - to narrow down 8 shows to the best one, the one I'll continue watching. Each episode will be scored out of 5, and after 3 episodes a winner will be declared and move on. I may still explore the loser show, but only one show gets to keep going regularly (as is possible). That probably doesn't make sense, but I'll get to the part where I need your help.

I've matched up shows that I want to watch into categories - the first two (Halo and Fallout) are good picks because they both are Sci-Fi shows based on video games. The next two match up because they are both Fantasy shows, recently released with second seasons (Yes, I'll be finishing House of the Dragon season 1 first). What I need are suggestions of shows that fit into the other two categories, a show that would be a good contester against Suits (Drama, Crime/Lawyer/Detective etc) and a good Comedy to go up against Psych. Once I get a good list of ideas generated I'll announce the two shows shortly.

In the meantime, I'll be recording reactions to Rings of Power, Halo, Fallout, and the last two episodes of House of the Dragon very soon. Stay tuned. Post your suggestions below!

Thanks, I'd love for you to check it out in the future. I think it's only 19 episodes total.

The Gentlemen looks great - could go up against Psych. Not sure if Bridgerton pairs up against Psych or Suits well though.

Person of Interest could go up against Suits - looks really good. I can see why Life on Mars probably wouldn't match up well enough though.

I'm watching trailers now...

Ryan Rebalkin

In which category?

Ryan Rebalkin

I'm looking into it. Definitely has potential!

Ryan Rebalkin

I've tried many, many times to get into it. It just doesn't quite catch me. Although David Tennant is my favourite doctor lol

Ryan Rebalkin

It looks hilarious. If it were more in the same category as Psych I'd be up for it. Maybe in the future?

Derry Girls is a fantastic comedy, but only 30 minute episodes.

Life On Mars is a good series but I don't know how relatable it would be to your majority American audience. One series that I found so watchable is Person Of Interest. Great storylines, great actors and actresses, and a theme that fits perfectly into modern-day government surveillance

I would love doctor who for some sci-fi vibes

mykah

Oooh, would love Burn Notice against Suits

Noni

"The Closer" with Kyra Sedgewich (Kevin Bacon's wife) is a good drama/crime/detective show. About 7 seasons I think.

Burn Notice is another good one that could go against either Psych or Suits. It is kind of in that same USA channel era of Monks, Psych, and White Collar. All shows worth watching and reacting to

Trinity Bernhardt

White Collar looks like the best fit...but Scandal looks really great. AHH! Can't decide. Also - Friends, Brooklyn 99, Big Bang Theory are all shows I've watched and love. I'm really looking for the right fit to go up against Psych...Monk seems like it could work, but I'm not totally sold.

The gentlemen series on Netflix or Bridgerton also on Netflix
