I get why you don't get it, but it's about how this is the fist time her daughter has hidden anything from her, and of all people LANES MOM, who's daughter basically hides her life at Lorelei's house is the one who told her! PLus she freaks out as she's finding it hard to not see her future in Rory, because (you are me).

2024-02-10 22:25:16 +0000 UTCI think you have to remember that the show was made before things become so very consent education focused. Same with Miss Patty and her inappropriate behaviour. It's not OK, it wasnt meant to be, but in that time it was a twist to cast a woman in that inappropriate role. I don't think they got it right, but i understand it.
