(Caption) Catching a Fish

He was a fisherman, living a simple life by the sea. One day, he heard that behind the reefs, there were some unusually agile big fish, and rumor had it that only cats could catch them. At first, he didn't believe it—sounded like one of those made-up stories people liked to tell. But then again, these weren't just any fish. How could they seriously be expecting cats to catch them? That thought stuck with him. He decided to see for himself, maybe even give it a try.

At dawn, he set out for that stretch of ocean, taking his fishing net and spear with him. The water was so clear he could see the bottom, and sure enough, a few large fish were gliding slowly beneath the surface. He crept to the edge of the rocks, holding his breath, inching his body into the water with the utmost care.

Soon, he locked onto one of the fish and lunged. Startled, the fish darted away, but he wasn't willing to give up so easily. He gave chase, the struggle underwater growing intense. He gripped the fish's tail tightly, doing his best to maintain balance. But during the scuffle, he didn't notice how his own movements were becoming swifter, more precise, and his vision sharper than ever. He could almost predict the fish's next move, as if his senses had sharpened beyond human. His body was changing—becoming soft, delicate. His hair grew long and golden, the tips shifting into a gradient of purple. Cat ears and a tail appeared on him, imbuing him with remarkable strength.

The fish fought hard, but he finally managed to subdue it. He dragged it ashore, completely soaked, breathing hard with the heavy fish in his arms. He didn't think much of what had happened, just figured he'd gotten lucky today.

There was a boy waiting on the shore, as if he had been expecting him. When she saw the boy, she didn't hesitate. She ran to him instinctively, smiling brightly and calling out, "I caught it! I really caught it—look!" Her voice carried a hint of urgency, like she was desperate for praise.

The boy nodded and told her she'd done a great job, gently patting her on the head before leading her back to the house.

He helped her wash up, then took out a fresh set of clothes from the closet for her to change into. She didn't think too hard about it—just felt how incredibly comfortable everything was once she put it on. It was a pink dress, soft and frilled with delicate ruffles, a ribbon tied neatly at the waist. The skirt hung down lightly, swaying gently whenever she moved. Her legs were wrapped in white tights that clung snugly and smoothly against her skin. On her feet were a pair of pink leather shoes, the rounded toes decorated with tiny bows on the laces. They made light, crisp sounds as she stepped across the floor.

She sat in a chair with the fish in her arms, gently swinging her toes, watching the boy with a look of ease and contentment in her eyes. She leaned closer, whispering, "This fish... it was heavy… but I still caught it, you know." She paused, resting her cheek against the fish's shiny scales, then gave a soft chuckle. "You'll like it, right?"

The boy stroked her hair and said she was amazing. She nodded, her tail gently swaying, a small smile curling on her lips. "Mhm. I'll go catch more. If you want to eat it… I can catch one for you every day." She nestled against him, hugging the fish tighter, and closed her eyes for a little nap.
