He stood in front of the mirror, looking at his familiar face, filled with a sense of disappointment. His original plan to join the kingdom's military was shattered when he learned that all the spots for men were already taken. The hope he had felt earlier seemed to vanish. However, when a friend mentioned that there were still spots available for women, a bold idea suddenly formed in his mind. Though he couldn’t change his gender, he decided to change his appearance and try to join the military.

He began with makeup. First, he fixed his hair, combing it neatly and letting the slightly curled ends give a softer look. After securing a few strands with hairpins, he applied foundation to hide the blemishes on his face, followed by eye shadow and blush, finishing with eyeliner to make his eyes appear larger. Once the makeup was done, he stood in front of the mirror, staring at his slightly unfamiliar, yet more feminine appearance. He felt a mix of shyness and excitement but decided to continue.

He eventually succeeded in joining the kingdom’s military. Though his face still showed some unease, he understood that he had taken this step and couldn’t turn back. He then changed into the female warrior outfit: black and red, with layered skirts that conveyed strength. As he slipped into high-heeled boots, his ankles felt a bit uncomfortable, but he quickly adjusted and felt the stability of the boots. Standing in front of the mirror, he straightened his clothes, took hold of the spear, and felt its weight. Looking at himself in the mirror, he was no longer the disappointed young man, but a female warrior ready for battle. Despite still feeling some shyness, his determination for the future made him sure that this adventure was only just beginning.
