He wandered aimlessly along the forest path, the rustling of leaves the only sound in the air. Suddenly, a crisp laugh rang out. Looking up, he saw a rabbit-eared girl standing ahead, dressed in elegant clothing and a top hat. She was toying with several knives, her gaze mischievous.
"Would you like to see a magic trick?" the girl asked with a playful smile. He hesitated but eventually nodded. She tossed the knives into the air, their blades gleaming in the sunlight. The knives began to move as if guided by invisible strings, dancing around her before she pointed at him. In an instant, the knives flew toward him.
He instinctively tried to dodge, but the knives merely brushed against him. A strange tingling spread over his skin where they touched. Looking down, he saw his hands begin to change, becoming slender and smooth.
The knives circled back and swept past him again. His clothes unraveled and vanished, replaced by a delicate white blouse adorned with lace and a black cape. A plaid sash with a bow tied itself around his waist, while black-and-white striped stockings covered his legs snugly. A pair of blue high heels with rabbit ear decorations appeared on his feet, their presence guiding his steps as if they had a will of their own. His body felt lighter, and his frame grew slender as his shoulders narrowed, his waist tightened, and his face softened. Touching his cheek, he felt smooth, unfamiliar skin. Even his voice, when he tried to speak, sounded soft and melodic.
The girl observed his transformation with satisfaction. "You're much better suited to this world now," she remarked. Handing him a small mirror, she stepped closer. He gazed into it, startled by the reflection of a golden-haired girl with a sweet smile, her rabbit-eared hat slightly askew.
The girl then handed her a knife. "Try it. This is your new beginning." She hesitated before taking it, and with the girl's guidance, she threw it into the air. Amazingly, the knife moved as if it were an extension of her own will, slicing gracefully through the air.
"Now, go and find others. Share this 'magic' with them." With a wink, the girl disappeared into the woods. She stared at her own hands and the floating knife, her emotions conflicted. As sunlight filtered through the trees, she stepped forward in her blue high heels, the black-and-white striped stockings catching the light with every step, moving toward an uncertain future.
