LGR - A GPU upgrade for the Bear PC
Added 2023-08-28 23:03:23 +0000 UTCJust a quickly-made, simple episode here! I'm in the middle of setting up, testing, preparing, and packing up all of the things that I'm taking to VCF Midwest, and this is one of the projects I really wanted to take care of before leaving six days from now.
Not much more to say, really! It's a straightforward "adding a thing to a thing" video, using a graphics card that has already gotten its own video in the past. If nothing else it's nice to see that the Bear-A-Byte PC runs better and will be a bit more enjoyable on the show floor a couple weekends from now!
There will likely be another super simple video as well in the coming days, but we'll see if I get that slotted in amongst all the other things going on. Getting pretty stoked for VCF :)

Just an idea for a quickie vid. Ever thought of playing around with AI voice synthesis? Like taking a previous vid of yours and dubbing over your own voice but with the voice of various celebrities. It'd make some of your older vids with iconic moments a bit silly. Imagine, one of your episodes being narrated over by someone like Ving Rhames or Morgan Freeman, or hell even something like Mark Hamill's joker.

2023-08-29 02:30:58 +0000 UTCThe spacing between measurements is kinda weird. The first number (FRAMES = xxx.x) is the frame rate, the numbers after that (MSEC RENDER = xxx.x) are millisecond times of how long it took to render the last frame.

Not sure if it matters for a quickie video, but I believe the framerate counter in UT is just showing milliseconds (shown as msec) between frames. I could be wrong.
