LGR - Exploring My Synth Setup!

Well, maybe not absolutely everything but a whole lotta stuff is touched on here. Analog and digital synths, drum machines, eurorack, mixing, compressors, scopes, switchers, and way more bleep, bloops, and bops than you can shake a stick at. And naturally, this is one of those videos where I completely intended for it to be a general overview that'd be like 15 minutes long, max. And I guess it still kind of is? But here we are with a 55 minute video edited down from like 4 hours of footage. Ha.
And this wasn't even the planned video for this week, I didn't even start on this until Monday! I've been deep into a couple of PC hardware retrospectives that demand a little more research and attention than usual, and neither project is complete yet. I considered just not posting anything this week, but then figured, "hey, people have been asking about my synth corner for over a year now. Why not just make a quick overview of that, piece of cake!"
Welp, it was all I could do not to gush about oscillators for hours and create tons of extra work for myself. I guess I'm a bit more enthusiastic about the stuff than I thought. I didn't go into tremendous detail since I had so many different devices to cover, but hopefully it still proves enlightening/entertaining/ehprettygood.

Quite the synth setup, Clint!! I want a prophet 5 rev2 or rev3 because they use Z80 CPU and I think it looks really cool!! That machine was quite a beast!! Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, and even the Stranger Things Soundtrack used the Prophet!! They are not cheap to find original, but Sequential (the company who made it) has created a re-release with modern features and amenities like true MIDI support, better sound stability, and the same amazing tone!! 2021-01-29 22:17:07 +0000 UTCAwesome, I've been hoping for a video like this ever since you first dropped some hints of your synth setup in other LGR/Blerbs videos. Sorry if I missed this, but what stand/rack are you using for your Roland TR-8S and TD-3? I have a similar multi-synth desktop setup, and whatever you're using seems to work better than the repurposed laptop stand I'm using now. I visited a friend in Asheville a couple of summers ago and was stoked to be able to tour the Moog factory--really awesome experience. Although it did inspire me to buy a Moog Grandmother a couple months later, so yeah, I can definitely understand the danger inherent in having them nearby.

I know you mentioned that you liked to keep some hobbies/interests to yourself and thought that your synth work would be something I'd only see on twitter. So its really awesome seeing this video pop up and especially happy to hear you talk about something that really interests you. Those are your best videos.
