LGR - The Sims 4 Tiny Living Stuff Review
Added 2020-01-24 18:09:15 +0000 UTC
Yep, this is the sixteenth stuff pack for this game. And this time around it's actually... not awful? Unnecessary, sure, and a bit misguided in terms of what's included. But as someone who lives in a relatively small home and has wasted far too many hours watching tiny house videos on YouTube, this was more down my alley than most stuff packs! Despite the far-too-frequent murphy bed failures and resulting deaths.
Also, I tried something different this time in releasing an LGR Plays episode over on the new Blerbs channel. Since I had hours of Tiny Living Stuff capturing to do for the review anyway, I figured why not bring back the ol' let's play format and record commentary along the way. It was a negligible increase in time spent editing and it kept me a little more entertained during the usual slog of capturing gameplay. Not sure if I'll keep doing that with Sims packs in the future, the Blerbs channel is still very much in its infancy really. But it was a fun little diversion in an otherwise "meh" time putting this review together, so if you have any thoughts on seeing that kind of additional behind the scenes content lemme know!
Some of the clothing and furniture options in this make me wonder if they were trying to get an IKEA branded expansion again and the rights deal fell through so this was the best they could do.

Man, I would *love* to see Honey, I Shrunk the Kids in The Sims. Mix it up with pets that keep their normal size and you have a fun time keeping your Sims alive. First order of business: determine how to satisfy their bathroom needs.

Yeeeaah, editing at ungodly hours in the middle of the night doesn't always work out, haha.

I hope so too, they're probably the best new object additions in a while! Four items in one is useful for any style of home.

So...Iβm just going to continue making tiny homes without the pack π Iβll only miss the tv combo pieces. Hope they continue with common sense items like that!

(editor mode on) 1:42 you got the wrong angle bracket. You want < 37m2

I have to imagine there have *at least* been talks to that idea in the past.

You're right! That's what I get for editing at 3AM it seems.

Thanks for the review; I probably won't get this pack, but good to see the features and lack thereof. FYI, at 1:41 I think those should be less than signs (<) rather than greater than signs (>).

Seeing Baby Yoda here I'm actually a bit surprised EA hasn't created a full on Star Wars expansion for the game, seeing how they own both licenses. Sure, there were a few costumes but nothing really interesting. No space traveling, no Bounty Hunter job, no Force powers, no "Hates sand" Sim traits, etc. This is a severe missed opportunity.

More LGR is always good. More Behind-the-lazyness LGR is even better!
Edit: You should have left the guy biking over your corpse on the review! Cracked me up so much

Yeah the Plays episode was great, I've missed the series since you stopped doing it. I would love to see more!

I enjoyed the Blerb LP. It was neat seeing your process of exploring the pack and capturing shots you used in the final review

More LGR is always a good thing, as long as you enjoy making those Let's Play videos. I'll be glad to listen to your in-depth thoughts and impressions of the game or expansion.

I loved the Blerbs let's play. Glad the flea-ridden dog and LGR-Sim's tombstone made it into the final cut.
