Thanks a lot for the offer! I'm mostly on the lookout for the software for the PC-8801 series at this point. Cassette games and software is particularly hard to find, but even the 5.25" disk games for later systems would be great to track down.

Heh, yeah, basically whenever there's a game where I can't read the menus and such :P

Glad to see this beast is coming alive! If your interested in assistance, I live in Japan, and would be glad to assist you with obtaining any equipment, cables, or whatever as needed. I can even go wander in Akihabara for hours on end.

I'd love to try some RGB consoles on this, and in theory it should work just fine, but I haven't been able to source cables for it

Awesome that you got the right cable for it! Though, side curiosity, have you ever tried running that Sony TV with RGB output from game consoles like the SNES or Genesis?
Either way, really awesome computer dude! :)

In theory, absolutely should! I don't have the skills to make a conversion cable, but I'd love to see it done

Hehe, yes indeed. Gotta love the quirks of systems from that era.

Ah, back in the day when CNTR-C meant stop / interrupt rather than copy.

With the right cable, the IBM CGA should work with that monitor in TTL mode as well. It would be cool to know if it has the dark yellow -> brown correction.
