LGR - 3D Pinball Space Cadet! [Full Tilt Pinball Review]

Comments

Here's something I just realised. Space Cadet is probably the only non-playing-cards game ever released for Windows NT for PowerPC. How's that for oddware?

RetroSwim

I don't believe I'm familiar with those, I'll have to look into it!

LGR

Awesome, I look forward to showing it off! It's quite a different experience, everything from the way it plays to the viewing angle

LGR

I agree, and seeing as the 32-bit version still runs just fine on all my 64-bit operating systems from what I can tell, I don't know why that wasn't included at least on the disc as a hidden extra

LGR

I mean, I make them every Monday and Friday *as lazily as possible,* does that count? ;)

LGR

I keep finding new ways to present that info popup, haha

LGR

Love the info popup like always. And this did turn out like a mini Tech Tales; I remember you saying on Twitter how it came out that way! I remember playing this back in the day when perusing my PC for pre-installed games :)

Lindsay Michelle

Videos every Monday and Friday?! So much for being a Lazy Game Reviewer, I feel cheated.

I'd love to see you cover the Pinball collection from Redoubt back in the 90s. I believe they had a complete bundle called Pinball 10. They were also featured in the Pinball Madness collection. Pinball Madness consisted of 4 collections of classic and not so classic at the time pinball games. I had the fourth one which had some good and some bad pinball games, and I had fond memories of playing them back in the day.

Caleb Bott

Interesting indeed. Didn't really know it was a glorified demo, and it certainly does feel a tad disappointing in them not updating it. Certainly looking forward to seeing you cover the follow-up - that's another one I didn't even know existed as well :)

Rob Caporetto

Poorly documented source code and bugs is no excuse for not simply REMAKING the thing. :P

Kris Asick

Thanks :)

LGR

Curious, this doesn't have levels so I'm wondering what it would make you restart!

LGR

Not back in the day, but I have the PC port now!

LGR

Out of curiosity, did you play Crystal Caliburn back in the day in either the original Mac or the PC port?

Steve Martin

Ha! I used to play this like crazy. But all I had was a demo from PC magazines so after one level you were ought to start again

Christian Meneses

Loved the little info pop-up at 1:42
