Our ULTIMATE holiday gift guide for Gamers

Happy holidays, everyone. That includes you. It's the best time of year and we wanted to celebrate by putting together a gift guide for #gamers. The above episode has quite a few picks from Brody, Chris, and Justin. However, we also went around and asked every member of crub for a few more suggestions. That means if you've already seen the episode, there's more here! Plus, there just might be a special holiday discount to this Patreon as a thanks for reading our crubletter.

Stocking Stuffers

Moriarty suggested a cheap instrument, like an ocarina. You could give this to someone and then make them pretend to be Link, and then you could pretend to be Zelda. Their overbearing stepfather could be the Ganon in this scenario. Rolling under his legs to attack his tail would be a great story for your children.

Sean typed "You Dried Elden Ring Towel Set (real)((etsy))", which we thought was a joke, but it turns out that...yes. It's real. And it is on etsy. It also does say "YOU DRIED", so know that Sean did give a sincere suggestion here. He also suggested you put Brody into a stocking...

The AntDude Youtooz figure. Kevin wants you to stuff this into a stocking alongside a mason jar and milk. Nicco also suggested a 12-set mason jar gift alongside milk. There are dots here for you to connect, should you see beauty in this world. This delectable AntDude figure is sold out, we fear, but perhaps you could get one pre-milked from eBay for a reasonable price.

Fresh from the content mill

Us! You could give us to a stocking! All of us are there. For the next week, you can get 20% off of a $5 or $10 USD crub Patreon tier. That equals something else in other currencies. We wanted to run this for more than one month's worth, but Patreon only lets us do the single month. Just use code "CRUBMAS" while signing up. We have hundreds of hours of things for you to pilfer in a single month though. Stream archives like The Game Awards watchalongs and Concord beta playing, exclusive spoilercasts and reviewcasts, Mario Parties, 30+ episodes of Podcastémon (a little birdie says there will be big news about that tomorrow which would make now a good time to sign up). We don't even remember half of what we have on here. You could pledge for that month, download it all, and then cancel your subscription. You have free will! It's just better than the other gifts in this post. Except maybe the milk and AntDude Youtooz combo. That's kind of sick. In a good way. We endorse that.

Big Ticket Items

We also asked our crubbers to give us some bigger ticket items to suggest, things to get for someone you REALLY care about. Surprisingly, custom keyboards with mats came up a few times. Sean also suggested something called "a suit of armor (real)", and surprisingly, this "armor" stuff is real. We should doubt Sean less. You should remain skeptical of him.

This one just speaks for itself. You could be the funniest person in your weekly Zoom calls. You want that, don't you? Yeah, we know. We know.

Trav didn't respond. We warned Trav that no response means an automatic suggestion of coal. So, Trav suggests coal. Edible, preferably.

Games To Gift

Lastly, we collected some game suggestions in case you just need more games to toss into your backlog and maybe play. Sean offered up The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-, which is a great shoutout since just about everyone forgot this game exists. The same can be said for his alternative old game suggestion, which was Black (2006). Yeah, go to that Wikipedia page and have a ball.

Moriarty suggested Outer Wilds, and we will suggest his video on it if you'd like to know why he suggests it: The Most Beautiful Space Adventure Game You NEED To Play

Kevin and Nicco point you to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. You may have heard of it. It's pretty good. We just uploaded a review/spoilercast on it, but we really only suggest listening to it if you already know what happens or are VERY certain you don't want to play it and just want to hear our thoughts. For those of us in crub who played it, it's our collective game of the year: https://youtu.be/ZIuD8yBMZks

The rest of crub's suggestions are offered in the video that started the post, of course, so those 3 had plenty of great ideas for you to consider in there. Did this help you think of something outside of the box? Probably not, but you have now imagined someone rolling under someone's stepdad's legs to hit their ass. So, you were exposed to a new idea through this, and our work here is done. Remember, it's "CRUBMAS" to save 20% off of a Patreon membership for the next 7 days only! It ends at noon Eastern on the 21st. If enough of you sign up, we can buy Justin a Fire Emblem body pillow but not ship it to him. We're considering this one.

Also, Chris is going to sneak in one more game suggestion here, much as we'd love to end this post on that image. Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo. It is very good and not enough people have played it. Grab it on Switch or wherever and thank us later.
