Grrrr....the RCMP are friggn ridiculous. When Amber's remains (well some of) were found and the officer addressed the media he said that 'they had been investgating her disappearance since the night she went missing'. So incredibly full of shit. This is so infuriating, especially when I see other missing person/murder cases in Canada of white people and the RCMP are all over it. Grrrr.....so wrong, racism and inequality is just so wrong!

It was supposed to be a Det Sgt. in that job, but the DC liked me and knew I could handle the logistics of setting up the program so they gave me the job, not realizing a civilian had to do all this other crap like home visits and interviews. It's different now, they have a detective running it after I walked out on it.

2019-10-05 14:49:16 +0000 UTCThanks Mike, I not only heard it, but had to read all of their offences and talk about their housing, make sure they were living in approved areas (away from schools, parks etc.), and I was dealing with supervisors who thought the Registry was a joke and didn't back me up. One of the two things that broke me emotionally was when one offender admitted to me that he had 23 other child victims, I told my boss and he said," well he did time for 7 so...." and nothing was done.

A very good friend of mine lived in Toronto for 2 years and he never wanted to leave but his gf did so they ended up moving back to Ireland. He never had a bad word to say about it (except the winters)

Racism is something in Canada and has gotten worse since America and Trump became POTUS. Now when I talk about the last part it does not relate to the hate for Native Americans. As for the suspect .... My goodness eh this is the kind of guy that would not be breathing if the criminal justice in Canada worked the right way and in many other nations.

It would be nice if our nation and others would get to being far harsher on these people in terms of punishment and I mean giving them the death penalty. I am tired of this crime being treated too lightly.
