Broken is I! Nina RIP, true hero! This death was a tough one. Love that she protected everyone but also OUCH! As I type is through teary eyes, I will say, this is an episode to remember! I love so many moments, even if some hurt...Donald is September!! Michael is an observer with feeling and Nina is an absolute legend!

2025-08-04 11:37:18 +0000 UTCHey Dak, i wanted to make a separate comment to ask what your plan is for the final 3 episode, i’m assuming you are planning to do 2 episodes this week and the finale next week on Thursday, if that is the case and if you are interested in doing some wrap up reactions for the show the next day i have a few suggestions for post series reaction that you could do, one in particular being a video with the cast and crew done to celebrate the ending of the show and look back at the series as a whole that is present in the dvd and also available on youtube, it’s a great sendoff. I also have other suggestions in case you are interested in doing multiple, let me know.

2025-08-04 09:37:17 +0000 UTCHey Dak, i didn’t comment immediately after the episode because i wanted to gather my thoughts about it for a little longer and now that i have i genuinely think that there are very few episodes better than this one in the whole show, it’s just an incredible crescendo of tension as it progresses culminating in back to back outstanding scenes, Nina’s conversation with Windmark and the final scene with Walter and Michael. I’ll start with the first, i personally think this show has an ability that only very few others have, it’s able to elevate any character it wants whenever it wants without feeling forced or cheap and that is so hard to do. Nina gets her swan song in this episode and what a freaking way to go out, showing just how smart and cunning she is but unlike og timeline Nina this version of her is also a parent herself which makes this sacrifice to save Michael so much more meaningful and the way she played Windmark was amazing, she knew Observers have a superiority complex and that is especially true for Windmark and she played him like a fiddle by baiting him into getting angry at her instead of reading her and then when she knew she had no other option she took herself out of the equation in a way that would make it impossible to get read after death (which is something we know they can do), what a scene and what a character ♥️. The final scene is a little bit complicated to talk about because some of it will be fully explained next episode but that flash of memories (?) that Michael showed Walter was amazing, it will be curious to see if Walter got to see it all or if he just saw that Donald is in fact September and what a reveal that is, i love that twist because you can for sure guess it but at the same time they trick you with the hair so you doubt yourself , so good, i would say that the biggest hint was in 5x06 when they are watching the footage in the pocket dimension you can hear September talking to Water in the background, it’s subtle but it is his voice. It’s always hard to do flashes of previously seen scenes in a tv show because it can sometimes feel like they are just reusing stuff out of laziness but Fringe always manages to use it at the right moment to really emphasize that something monumental is happening and it really enhances those scenes imo. A small moment that always hits me is Peter and Olivia looking at Etta’s poster, i will never stop talking about how well they use that poster, it’s always a fixture in every episode after her death and at the same time it haunts Peter and Olivia and it gives them strength, devastatingly good writing. We are so close to the end and things are about to get even crazier, lets go!!
