PETER!!!!! It's been waaaay too long! His lil face when Liv doesn't recognise him broke me BUT he's back and that's the main thing! Now we can work on those memories asap!!! I enjoyed the Cameron scenes in this one too, another child of the trials and seeing this version of Walter coming to terms with his past actions. I have a feeling ep 5 will be a banger though! I'm just so relieved to see Peter back with the squad...I hope he can convince them, he is who he says he is!

2:30 fun(?) fact, lobotomy spikes did, in fact, go through the eye socket on the very inside edge, basically pushing the eye to the side a bit. people forget that eye sockets are basically just open holes directly to the brain (the optic canal) with very little bone separating the eye from the brain (on the outside edges.) still need the hammer, though, to help break through what thin bone IS there. if you ever DO get around to trying a root beer float, just remember that the vanilla ice cream goes first and the root beer gets poured on top of it so they start mixing immediately. don't wanna try and plop a scoop of ice cream into a glass full of root beer for a couple reasons tbh lol. also, root beer's not for everyone and that's totally fair, but root beer flavored candies are usually the best for some reason HOLY SHIT IT'S CHADWICK BOSEMAN. it feels wrong to hear him without the wakandan accent despite having seen him in other stuff it's been absolutely wonderful seeing all the character interactions between olivia, walter, astrid, and lincoln in this new timeline but omg peter is back and it's so exciting but so anxiety inducing because walter is Not Well and his "son" is suddenly back from the dead and olivia doesn't consciously remember him so peter may be back but his life is NOT. my boy's got an uphill battle. i CANNOT wait! hey, thanks for choosing my comment! you're not trash at spotting the observer, you spot him a normal amount of times tbh lol. i only saw that half second glimpse because i caught the silhouette of his hat in the backlit doorway

It was so hard talking about season 4 without spoiling Peter’s return because while it is something that can easily guess will happen and you called it as soon as the energy ball started appearing at the beginning of the ep there was still a small chance that they wouldn’t bring him back, but now he’s here! More importantly he knows a lot more than the others do, we don’t know to what extent yet, but based on how he was speaking/looking to Olivia it’s not implausible to think that this is the the very same Peter that disappeared moments before from the machine room, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves because the show will soon answer those questions , also i couldn’t agree more with you on the fact that now the Peter is back the show feels truly whole again even considering his difficult path ahead, he’s truly the glue that holds the show together for me. Many new and very interesting revelations coming in this episode, most interesting to me are the ones regarding the cortexiphan trials which happened in a very different way in this timeline, for starters it seems that Olivia actually managed to escape them because Peter wasn’t there to find her in the tulip field so she wasn’t experimented as long as in the og timeline, also it seems that they have had little to no contact with the other subjects in the present based on what Olivia was telling Mark so all of the stuff with Nick Lane and the others probably didn’t happen which makes sense because without Peter going back to the other side with Walternate there would have been no need for Olivia to cross over and enlist their help, in general it seems that the whole cortexiphan trials ordeal has yet to be fully explored in this timeline with Astrid not even knowing that much about it and asking Olivia to explain. The “new” version of the Walter and Olivia relationship takes the center stage in this episode and i have been waiting to talk about it because it’s one of my favourite things of the new timeline, they are so much more connected because of the absence of Peter and while she hasn’t been able to replace him fully in the role of Walter’s guardian/tether to reality she seems to be much more patient and understanding with him and a less frustrated in general thanks to them being closer, Walter in general in this episode (like the rest of this season) once again breaks my heart but at least starts to make a few steps forward by getting out of the lab. Another major change that gets teased is the very different relationship between Olivia and Nina, but i really don’t wanna touch on that yet, there will be plenty of time later on and i can’t wait to discuss it. Peter re-emerging from Raiden Lake with the Observer looking over will never cease to give me goosebumps… And now the “Peter’s return arc” finally starts and i can’t wait for your reactions Dak!! P.S. RIP Chadwick.
