It's been a long time coming but I have finally posted a new pilot reaction, this time The Sandman & I thoroughly enjoyed it! I do know that this is a show that Jay would love which makes me wanna watch with but if you guys would love to see these reactions I will rethink that idea!
The FX in this were spot on & I love the concept so much! The acting for me was a lil hit & miss for my tastes but it is early days so I don't wanna speak too soon on that one. I liked the pacing & hope to watch more!

2024-08-19 01:16:04 +0000 UTCI have been meaning to watch this show, but kept putting it off. The visuals are just perfect. To answer some questions(no spoilers), familiars are spirit creatures bonded to a wizard, or sorcerer. If they get close enough, their "master" can see what they see. The "Magus", was Tywin Lannister on "Game of Thrones".(You may have recognized him.) More than that, like I said, I haven't watched the show: looking forward to your reactions.

2024-08-19 01:08:46 +0000 UTCI watched The Sandman in 3 days, maybe? I usually watch a couple of episode a night with streaming series. It's not a good idea for longer series for me, though : I burned myself out with Once Upon a TIme and didn't even care for show after watching 3 to 4 episodes a night for a week. The concept and the art direction on The Sandman are super interesting. I didn't know the orginal material so I was a bit surprised when the show drifted towards an anthology instead of focusing solely on the Sandman himself for the whole show, but each episode was still dragging me in the world. I would watch your reactions to this show. Or will very much appreciate a Dakara Discuss if you took the decision to watch it with family. I hope you enjoyed it!!

2024-08-17 03:37:38 +0000 UTCAs a Neil Gaiman fan of over 30 years I did enjoy the series up to a point, but when companies change characters that have been canon since 1989, I just lose interest. Obviously if one is going into it with no knowledge of the history or lore, then it'll be a fun time. Out of the four 1x01 episodes you've reposted for possible reactions, I'd go with Vikings. Bones (great show that I can binge) has 245 episodes and if you did one a week, you're looking at over 4 1/2 years. I've already touched on The Sandman here, and I'll make my comment about Heartstoppers in that post.

That's probably where we both we both got it from, along with most of the people on here that watched it with you. I miss looking forward to watching new episodes of that. Does anyone else, or is it just me? Thank you Dak, you are so much fun to watch along with.

2022-10-15 18:34:08 +0000 UTCI am so happy to see you react to this show. I do hope you decide to do a full reaction to the series. I love this comic and the show does it so much justice. As someone mentioned before, this is actually the comic series that gave us the DC version of Lucifer and his favorite demon Mazikeen, which I'm sure you are familiar with. I did not binge this series but did watch it all in a 2 week period. For me, it was some of the best writing on TV this year. Episode 6 is my favorite. I will say no more. Whatever you decide, I hope you enjoy it and would love to hear your thoughts on the series either way.

I'm a huge fan of Sandman - I love the original comics, and the audiobooks are fantastic - and I was overjoyed to see it brought so well to the screen. I hope you'll continue with the series, because I think it gets a lot better. Ok, enough of this comment, time to watch the reaction. EDIT: Ok, just watched the reaction - entertaining as always. As to your closing comments, I can understand there being different vibes/experience based on whether you're pseudo-binging things on your own time or with family vs. the steady weekly diet of work content. Obviously you have to do what works best for you. Selfishly, I do hope you do this one as a reaction series, because I love the show and I really enjoy watching people's reactions to it, and you are one of the reactors I enjoy the most. Anyway, thanks for this!
