What an episode! Dakrya made an appearance, not that, that's a surprise haha. Seeing Hughie with his Dad just killed me. Hope he's gonna be okay and that his Mum will truly be there for him now. The flying Vsheep had me shook - animals on V is no joke guys hahaha. Frenchie has handed himself in. A train & Ashleigh have joined forces and Homelander is apparently reborn with a new outlook...WILD!

This was a crazy episode. Those suped up farm animals really topped the crazy meter for this show. I do not like what Butcher is doing. His choices. He can be so brutal and I am not convinced that he needs to be. Poor Hughie! I feel really bad for him. Having to do what he did for his father was really really sad and would hit someone like Hughie very hard. He doesn't need to have to deal with that. I blame his mom. I don't care if that's reasonable or not. I just don't like her. Even if she ends up being okay, I won't like her. I know they've given us info that mitigates her absence, and that can be valid, but I still don't like her. I'm really curious about Neuman, overall. Is she truly "bad" or not? She has killed a lot of people, so she's leaning heavily on the bad side. But she also seems to have plans that make me think she's not like the other evil sups. Not many episodes left, yet so many things left to iron out. 8 episodes is really not enough.

2024-07-20 17:41:03 +0000 UTCIt was great seeing Giancarlo Esposito again, he's one of my favorite actors and has such a rich, smooth voice. I recently found out that he was one of the singers of the theme song for the children's entertainment show The Electric Company. The show ran from 1971 to 1977 and was one of my favorites. I can still sing that song in my head. There are times that I don't even recognize MM this season; he looks great and I wish I knew his secret. I liked the conversation about faith as I'm also Catholic and went to a Catholic Grade School and High School. There are times that doubts / questions come into your mind, but I see it as faith being tested. I still have my grandmother's rosary beads and my grade school scapular in a drawer in my bedroom. Nothing wrong with believing and I don't hold it against anybody if they don't. Yeah Dak, I thought it was sloppy writing with the sheep attack as I agree, Neumann could've just popped their heads. That being said, would it have been as cool and gross? Nope. The one death there that affected me the most was of the female Secret Service agent; when they entered the barn she was in first with the other agents and I thought she was so pretty. Well, not anymore. 😔 If you would have told me that Simon Pegg would make me emotional I would have laughed and jokingly flipped you off, but what eventually happened after the V injection was very personal to me and even though I had taken my usual notes while watching, I had to wait two days before actually commenting. I remember you talking about your dad being gone and I can relate to that to a certain extent because I lost my stepfather of 36 years in 2022 and I was there when he passed. My father is still alive, but lives in a care home in Wisconsin and has Alzheimer's disease; I will be there too when the time comes. Watching the death scene was very hard for me as well and I had tears running down my cheeks. I'm welling up typing this paragraph. It was a rollercoaster of an arc in this one: slow first 20 minutes; insane, incredibly gory carnage; heartbreaking, tragic death. I was a mess! A few thoughts: It was nice seeing Cate and Sam from Gen V. (Lizze Broadway is absolutely stunning) I'm liking the way they're seemingly going with Ryan by having him begin to enjoy punishing people (Oh, Detective!) and are possibly setting up a Dark Ryan arc. I was afraid that this was a one-off episode for Giancarlo, but pop goes the head. Wow, this is probably my longest comment. 🫨 Thank you Dak, this was a bit of a rough one for me too. Oh, your YouTube recommendation for your friend / colleague , I'm assuming it's Purple Nurple Reviews since the reactions there have the same graphics as yours. I think you said that she does them for you. I subscribed.
