Cordy is BACK!! What a welcome home gift she's received! OUCH. Angel seems so lost with grief right now. It's hard to see him like this. This was also a very Gunn heavy episode exploring how life can change and you can gain so much happiness - you gotta just keep going. It was a nice contrast with what Angel is going through right now, you have really low lows but the world keeps turning and high highs will come. Seeing Wesley so alone in this was hard to see as well, the dynamic is very different at the moment.

2023-07-31 17:16:00 +0000 UTCI enjoyed this episode but thought Wesley would feature more in it. That being said, it is about Angel losing Connor. Then again it was pretty Fred/Gunn-centric, which is never a bad thing; I want as much Fred as I can get. I'm glad Cordy is back, but what timing. Heavy, heavy stuff. I agree with you Dak, I'm not sure what Groo adds to this group. Maybe I'm missing something, but I was never a fan of his anyway. Now that he looks like a modern, everyday guy, he's more of a background extra pushed into a weird, supporting character that has nothing to say and not much to add from a story standpoint. I wish Gunn could have been honest with her instead of insulting and embarrassing her. It was heartbreaking seeing her face as she cried. I'm glad that she figured out that something was wrong and the group had to help him out. The confrontation was pretty intense and the decapitation was a shock, but I have to say that the grossest thing I've seen in the series to date was the head regrowing and the sound it was making. *shudder* Can't wait until your next reaction, Dak. Only four more episodes left in this season! Thanks!
