Think about it, she is always in a pleasant mood regardless of the situation, she “conveniently” works at Byland’s place of business, and somehow was the first to find Wilma. And her name just says it all, “Candy Cummings”. If you just replace the C and Y in her first name with a K and an I, it fits more perfectly.
