It’s anxiolytic and the psychoactive element is called kavalectones which are foreign to the human body, however after consuming kava your body begins to recognize the kavalectones and the sensation is kinda like alcohol but no to little hangover. They say it has a reverse tolerance and it seems to be true. The longer you drink it the less you need! It’s worth a shot to help scratch the itch. Hopefully it’ll help curtail my weed habit so I can enjoy playing guitar again.

I’m going off the top of the dome here but iirc, a tariff is a tax on imported goods, which is paid by the IMPORTER, meant to drive the price of the foreign products HIGHER, so domestic manufacturers seem cheaper as a result. The foreign companies stand to lose money (in theory) because they sell less. Biden’s inflation has several phases; first, with the pandemic, supply chains were fucked, and companies took advantage of that by using it as justification for raising prices, which is _literally_ inflation. Then, Biden’s stupid fucking economic sanctions on Russia backfired and sent the price of oil into low earth orbit, causing transportation fees to increase, causing prices to go up all down the line, as everybody raised prices to protect their profit margins, AGAIN (trend??). Finally, with the houthis yeeting missiles at every ship that passes by, the standard transit route for cargo has diverted to around the cape for the first time since the suez canal opened. Marine shipping companies have used this to justify higher prices (unsurprisingly). These higher prices are very unlikely to go away; why would they? They’re the new normal. Hence why people who think Trump is going to lower prices are fucking stupid
