You lost twice to the - by your own boastful estimate - "most easily defeatable candidate ever", and - by everyone elses estimate - "one of the dumbest, least curious people that has ever lived". And after eating that amount of shit, the (presumably well-paid) Sun Tzu brain-genius take is to dust off clintonian Third Way republican-acquiescence of power and go "hey, you guys ever heard of this thing? Like, a sensible middle-position?" despite it being the de facto playbook since the 90's for dems. Like, the party cannot be what anyone who listens to this podcast ever wants it to be. So, unless you're collecting a paycheck from them, you're released from the burden of ever putting yourself in their shoes and try to game out how they can recuperate. Their general attitude is so blatantly inadequate to "the moment" that it's dereliction of duty at best and "... so the purpose of you guys is just to help run out the clock, right?" at worst. Here's a compromise "for the moment". You guys, once again, try to manifest the elusive True Centrism - frequently tried, never perfectly implemented - and a new party called First Reformed pops up, based on the movie, whose flag is just barbwire on a red backdrop. Their opening proposal to any issue is "well, bomb vest, surely" and its your job to try to find the new middle-ground with this wildly popular new formation of grassroots-politics.

It's a historical/ecological survey of the impact of weed farming on indigenous lands in Northern California. She specifically ties the "back to the land" movement with the original colonization of the west as well as with white flight.
