The Last World War Two Veterans Will Soon Be Gone

I encourage you to speak to a World War Two veteran as well if you have the opportunity. As I said in the video, time is running out. The last WWII vet will be gone within 15 years.

Certain streams, like the last one with Mr. Lichtman, had tons of donations, but you never got around to them. It just seems like superchats are now kind of like a random crapshoot as to whether or not they'll get answered, and I don't think that's a fair, reliable policy. Don't mean to disparage the channel; you're doing an incredible job, man.

My father was a WW2 vet - a paratrooper who 'missed' D-Day because of a badly broken leg during training in late 1944 - but his brother whom I never met died in the Pacific in 1942. My dad passed in 2008 at 95 but was particularly old (29) when he joined up in Jan 42 right after Pearl Harbor. We should be thankful for their courage, one and all, and should never forget them...

It’s so sad that we are truly losing that direct link to such a pivotal moment in world history. I’m glad you and many others are capturing their stories. It’s all we will have left soon.
