2019-03-07 14:45:18 +0000 UTC12 year old Tarence was totally right about using viruses to kill bacteria by the way - it's called phage therapy and has been around since the early 1900s: <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phage_therapy" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phage_therapy</a> It was extensively used in the USSR, and is still in use in the former Soviet nations, especially Georgia (where a lot of the early research into phage therapy was done). It's been getting a lot more attention recently as everyone's starting to wake up to how badly we've fucked up using antibiotics.
