You need to select pieces of evidence that are connected to each other and point to a specific suspect. Some pieces of evidence are considered major, while others mainly serve to provide additional context. If you select at least 3 pieces of evidence linked to a suspect, including at least one major clue, that suspect will appear in the center of the deduction screen. You can then select them to display the deduction at the bottom of the screen and validate it if you agree. However, if you select pieces of evidence that have nothing to do with that suspect, they will disappear / not appear, so randomly selecting all the clues without thinking won’t get you anywhere. There are a total of 5 possible suspects to choose from—it’s up to you to decide which one you think is the most likely :).

I can highlight clues now, and have gathered them all - but it'll only let me either reset my highlighted clues, or return to the main map. I suspect I'm overlooking something; any help is greatly appreciated; thank you.
