Linda is my fave character in the show and I am 100% with you. Up to this episode, I did not like the choices they made for her, they didn't feel like the Linda we have grown to love. This episode did give me hope tho as she seemed to be back to her old self. Not really sure why they made the Linda choices that they did early in the season, didn't make sense or add to the story. But overall, the season has been pretty good (and continues to be good).

I think Ella has said before a few times that for her, her beliefs aren't about fact they're about faith. Not having proof is a huge part of her faith. I do think they should have told her earlier and Lucifer has always been honest, but he's also always known she didn't believe him. And could have shown her his wings if he really did want to prove it to her, otherwise they have been hiding things from her or outright lying during cases. I think the start of season six would have been a good time to genuinely tell her, or to have a scene where maybe Amenadiel wants to tell her since all of his 'angel revalations' seem to have gone well, whereas Lucifer's have caused trauma, even with the wings like in season 1. But mostly I think Ella is just hurt and feels like an idiot - she's an open, caring, honest person who has a job that is about finding proof, and she didn't see what was right in front of her. It was particularly insensitive though to get drunk, when her date to the wedding was Carol who is a recovering alcoholic, that strikes me as less in character than reacting badly to being left out. I do appreciate the Lucifer Rory conflict this episode was actually a genuine misunderstanding. Lucifer saying he'd be there but assuming Rory wasn't coming because she said she wasn't. And Rory having needed time to take him up on his offer, to find out he wasn't there. And she still came to the wedding but the talk with Trixie pushed her over. I can imagine she feels lied to by everyone now, Lucifer being absent, her mom never explaining anything, and her big sister apparently never talked about things she did with Lucifer. But I totally get your frustration - season 3 felt too long, this season at times feels a little unbalanced. Not bad just, a lot of set up.
