It's pointed out a lot that the small folk are very superstitious and I suspect that they will probably have a more accurate description of what actually happened. I.e the gods came down and struck down the Lannisters in Kingslanding and such or that Stannis is the hods chosen. Whereas the more educated nobles will believe it's all a folly. Except for this directly involved.

2024-11-27 09:27:01 +0000 UTCI love this chapter I would have loved to see Mace’s reaction to the mountain being dead just because I think it would be hilarious. Along with Tywin possibly blowing a blood vessel due to sheer rage. Also dragon girl Shireen is getting the attention she deserves. And everyone probably adds this to the column of how the gods favor Stannis as king. I really want to see how the small folk are rationalizing everything as I think the ones in Stannis camp really hate Joffrey and probably see Percy’s attack as the gods being displeased by Joffrey’s reign that they allowed for the attack to happen. Also the Eyrie lords being mad about who side they are being commanded to fight for is justified. Also Baelish thinking he’s got everyone fooled will probably bite him in the a** a lot sooner.
