I always think at the end of every episode we could ask 'What has Lucifer learned?' or 'What have we learned about Lucifer, Chloe, Dan, Amenadiel, Maze, Linda or Ella?' Every episode seems to drop us a little more info about characters or their motivations...it is a slow slow drip or like Deckerstar, a slow burn but it all moves on and on with sometimes an incident causing a brake on the movement or a rethink. I love this Show! Like you I remember thinking these early episodes were a slower pace, intriguing but maybe a little less emotional but the writers must have known what they were preparing for us...oh boy!
