Like Ice Cream in the Sun

Another weekend, another whirlwind. How are you faring?
We have had some super hot ones here and while visiting a farm (the ice cream was off the charts) I found myself scampering from patch of shade to patch of shade. No sun hats or personal fans or ice spray or frozen neck rings could stave off the instantaneous destruction of my comfort and semblance of an acceptable public appearance. Mostly I pretended to look around the air-conditioned gift shop between feeding goats hay and looking at rabbits. Overall, a wonderful time.
I won't get philosophical on you today, but am wishing you a wonderful one. it isn't easy for so many people in this world so be thankful you have your things together as much as you do. Even if you get down on yourself about something or a part of your world and life, focus on the positives and keep pushing forward. There is always time to improve and get a little bit better, shave off a little negativity here and there. Just take it one step at a time.
It may seem sudden, but I recently had a bit of difficult, but hopeful news. And that is the message that I'd like to take away from it and broadcast to you from my smut-laden soapbox. More good things coming this week. More triple trouble and who knows what else down the line.
