Cool and Bright

Hi Patron,

Doing well? The weather is absolutely sublime. I am a snuggle up in a sweater and a blanket on the couch and play video games kind of person and we are just on that precipice. In the nights if I leave my window open I can almost get away with putting on a sweater, but I get hot too quickly.

Got the new Zelda game. I adore the Legend of Zelda from my core and I had excitement and a little bit of concern mixed in with my anticipation of the new game. Zelda, the actual princess, being the lead character of the game! Obviously the internet has its points of view on things, but you get the naysayers and overly critical who are the loudest. I will go ahead and say it for you, it is a proper 2D Zelda game. It is serving big SNES/Gameboy Zelda energy. And I love it. It feels nicer and better than the Link's Awakening remake in general, and has a lot of small touches that Nintendo games always bring to their big games, especially Zelda.

(Proper) Dungeons are back, thank goodness, and the whole game is basically a series of puzzles of 'how can I get over there' or 'how can I overcome this enemy effectively?' The answers is the old bed and the black and red spider effectively, but you have a thousand other options to play with as well. The old bed basically solves almost all your issues. Or like, 3 old beds and a trampoline and boom, you can walk on top of trees and traverse the entire world. Gotta love it.

So the actual solution for a lot of these issues is just swing sword or shoot an arrow, but they have (largely) taken those away from you. This is the game. People cry about it, but it is a new and interesting way to interact with the world and the things in it. They even do 'give in' and give you the ability to kick ass with a sword and such, but dang that timer cooks down quickly. I play games and conserve literally every resource I have because 'what if I need it later?' I played that way with my swordsman energy meter, but no longer.

Ready for the real world rant transition? Boo yah. Nailed it. Meta commentary unnecessary? Of course. Still here? Overly so. It's the same with the 'good plates' or the 'nice coffee' in our houses, you know? YOu buy the fancy paper towels that you can use again and again and become either too afraid to tear one off or once you do you use the thing and wash it again and again for fear of wasting it! What a world.

Just use the things you have sooner rather than later. Prevent the hording and allow yourself some nice things. Not sure where I was going with this rant. (Sorry, this blog has been put on hold and returned back to like three times at this point with hours in between.) Either way, the new Zelda is excellent. I am going to use my swordsman energy to deal with annoying enemies a bit more often. And, you should use your swordsman energy and nice things for yourself as well. Don't hold back, enjoy your life to the fullest.

Annoyingly busy schedule this week, but I will have more fun stuff for you in a day or two. The delay is killing me as much as it is you, I'd wager. At least the weather isn't in the extremes.

 Please have a nice week~

~Michelle

No worries. I don't plan to. Which is why I am waiting to upgrade. I have several bills that will be paid off in a short while, and that means I will have a touch more disposable income. I'm doing the responsible thing. Lol

The change in weather really brightens my mood. Thanks so much for your kindness. Prosperity for all. I hope fall is peaceful and enjoyable for you as well. I appreciate the kindness, but don't stretch yourself thin over smut! Especially mine!

I am glad you are doing well, and the weather there is so nice. I hope you continue to prosper. The weather here is starting to turn, the nights are getting colder, and the leaves are starting to fall. Before we know it the snows will begin and I will endure another Canadian winter. Thank you for the update. When I save up enough, I will be upgrading my tier so I can enjoy your stories.
