COGNATE AIR - Chapter 1
Added 2025-05-27 08:46:33 +0000 UTCNo charge for this as it is not an Intemp chapter. This is another story I started and did not continue with. It is a sequel to my stories A Correct Destiny and A Lesson Regarding Humanity. I am writing it as a standalone novel (if I continue it) that can be read and enjoyed by those who have not read the original books. This is a universe that is distinct from all of my other universes. Let me know if you like this one.

But is it realistic that Ken could just walk off the grounds at a major international airport? How would he get back -- surely there'd have to be some sort of security checkpoint, yeah? At most major American airports, at least on the passenger airport side, you can't really walk into / out of the airport grounds. I know cargo terminals operate differently, but still -- wouldn't the sheer size of EWR maybe make this unrealistic?

2025-05-30 05:09:22 +0000 UTCAs much as I would like a new theme/story, revisiting the cognate or greenies universe trumps that big time, well written charapter for a stand-alone and although the cognate real nature is revealed in the chapter, it does not feel rushed; now I’m hungry for more. Looking forward now to the next taster chapter. Great work Al.

2025-05-27 20:11:40 +0000 UTCThe first Cognate story was composed of quite a bit of background into Cognate life, society, physiology, history, rules, etc. I wondered how you would do a stand alone here, ( and was worried about many chapters rereading something I already knew about) but it seems like you've got most of the canonical info down in the first chapter. Well played.
