INTEMPERANCE V - Chapter 8, Blurring the Line
Added 2021-05-27 02:34:07 +0000 UTCI managed to squeak out 3 chapters this month as the pace of the story is picking up and I've had more days off than usual. Please keep up the feedback as it truly helps me shape the upcoming chapters. Something that a few of you have asked for takes place, to some degree, in this one. It seemed the right circumstance in the narrative to bring it up. Who knows where it will lead? Not even I do at this point.

Glad you enjoyed the chapter. I don't know how much I'm going to enjoy the holiday though. It's supposed to be 102 degrees today and 106 on Monday, and my air conditioning is showing signs of trouble.

G going to back Jake up at the festival, Matt getting a dose of reality (not likely to stick - and I feel for him having to part with some of his guitars), and especially Cecilia & Laura. I know, I've been talking that possibility up for a while, but I wasn't sure it would ever really happen. I'm looking forward to watching where all these new plot lines go. 2021-05-29 11:38:21 +0000 UTCAl: I gotta say, until you mentioned talkboxes in book IV, I had forgotten about them! I suppose I shouldn't assume that everyone's brain cells were damaged by the 70s. And I suspect from some clues in _Doing it All Over_ that you are few years behind me on the Line of Time's newsfeed. So I was very impressed that you remembered talkboxes. It's very cool that you have Jake using them—especially since they were out of style by the 90s. Of course, now that I've said this, people will list dozens of New Wave and Grunge bands that used them.
