Just a pause from isa, doing something different.
OC: Solari
Solari was born out of both chance and necessity. Her body, a perfect fusion of biology and energy, is both a gift and a curse to the New World. Since her creation—or discovery—she has known no life beyond her capsule, a serene and translucent space where her very existence fuels entire cities. Her body is a living reactor; with every cell that regenerates, bursts of pure energy are absorbed, refined, and distributed to the farthest reaches of civilization.
Yet, there is something unusual about her physiology: she never ages, never tires, never feels pain. Her body is in a constant state of renewal, always burning, always igniting new flames. She does not feel imprisoned, for she has never known freedom to desire anything else. In truth, she takes pride in her role—her light sustains billions. But is this conviction truly her own, or is it the result of years of conditioning?
The New World has built its civilization around her existence. She is the backbone of global energy, rendering fossil fuels, nuclear fission, and all primitive energy sources obsolete. Yet, the brighter she shines, the more shadows form around her.
Governments compete for control over her power. Secret factions see her as a threat—a monopoly that places the fate of humanity in the hands of a single entity. Scientists attempt to replicate her, to create new Solaris, but none achieve her level of purity. Among them, a troubling question lingers: what happens if Solari ceases to exist?
She watches the world only through the screens of her module, witnessing humanity’s progress thriving at her expense. But why does she sometimes feel a strange emptiness inside her—something she cannot quite name?
“Solari, you are free. But have you ever asked yourself if you truly want to be here?”
Someone, somewhere, believes she deserves more than to be a living power source. And for the first time, Solari hesitates.
Her regenerative processes begin to falter. Small inconsistencies in her fusion emerge. Her heat fluctuates. Something is changing within her—or perhaps it has always been there, waiting to awaken.
But if Solari chooses to leave, the entire world could collapse.
