Important Update
Added 2023-04-01 03:14:58 +0000 UTCSo a couple of days back, I received an email from Patreon announcing their new updated policy on age verification for creators of +18 content. On it, it stated that creators had to provide documentation to verify they are of age by sending their government ID and a selfie to match the identification. Understandably, I can see why Patreon would ask for verification, but I myself do not feel comfortable with the methods to verify it. Especially the part where my face would be involved. For the most part, I'm alright providing the necessary information they need, but having me to provide a photo is cutting the line on my comfort space.
After a couple of days, I have decided that I might move on from this platform. I already PAUSED the payment cycle, so you WILL NOT be charged on APRIL 1st. I paused it because I'm not ready to let go. I want to float around for a bit to see what might happen. I know I'm not the only one feeling like this, so I'm curious to see if Patreon would make an adjustment to the policy or if they'll add a new method where they would require something different. My apologies if I'm making this into a bigger issue than it is, but I do hope you understand my perspective.
Thank you so much for your support from the last couple of years. I would suggest to please save as many things from here as you can. The content will stay up until I decide to unpublish it. Not sure when will that be, but I will give a heads up. I will still upload some things in the next couple of days to still beef up this month's stuff. After that I will pause my activity here and direct it to my Twitter. Again, I want to say how grateful I am for your support, it has really helped me in tight situations.
