GLSL Particle Simulations

Whether you’re a programmer or not, GLSL can initially seem intimidating. However, in this video, I aim to make it less daunting. I show how you can create a visually stunning particle system with just a few lines of code, demonstrating that it’s not as complex as it may seem.

You for sure could do that. If you take a look at my interactive installation particles project (https://www.patreon.com/posts/111421150/edit) you can tie together some of the lessons there to make this project interactive. This mostly in applies in a 2d space. If you want to do 3d attraction repulsion that would be where metaballs might make sense, but I haven't done any tutorials on that. (I'll consider it though)

Hi Dean Thanks for the great tutorial, woudl it be possible to make this particle system interactive, with a reaction/attraction data from kinect azure, for example? should i use metaballs ? thank you in advance

Depends on the GPU! Also depends on how accurate you’d like your DOF effect to be.
