│3rd Person POV│
[Grand Line, Paradise, Marineford, The Fleet Admiral’s Office…]
Hearing the question, Sengoku pondered for a few moments before he raised his head and looked at Aokiji.
According to the order he received from the World Government, the Marines were to build a base near the territories of the Whitebeard Pirates.
Additionally, a Marine Admiral should be present during and after the construction of the base, to keep an eye on the Whitebeard Pirates and to also protect the base in case the World’s Strongest Man decided to take action.
Sengoku had thought about which Admiral to choose from the moment he received the order.
Borsalino, more commonly known by his alias Kizaru, had the power of Glint-Glint Fruit. Utilizing his Devil Fruit powers, Kizaru was able to travel at a very, very high speed.
Because of this, Sengoku preferred to keep Kizaru stationed at the Marine Headquarters. He was the perfect person to send to various parts of the Paradise as reinforcement when needed.
So, the choice was between Akainu and Aokiji.
If he sent Akainu, Sengoku was sure that a war would erupt between the Whitebeard Pirates and the Marines within, at most, a month.
This was also the reason Sengoku hardly ever sent Akainu to patrol the waters of the New World.
Most of the time, Akainu was assigned to protect the Celestial Dragons when they came down from Mary Geoise to have fun.
Other than that, he was mostly sent down to hunt some pirate groups that were difficult to deal with.
In conclusion, Akainu was ill-suited for the task of overseeing the construction and protection of the G6 base.
The only option left for Sengoku was Aokiji.
Aokiji’s lazy and compassionate personality would ensure that he wouldn’t actively seek out conflict with the Whitebeard Pirates.
However, if the situation demanded it, Sengoku was sure that Aokiji would go all out to protect the G6 Base from any harm.
Additionally, if Whitebeard decided to unleash a tsunami against their future G6 base on a whim, Aokiji's Ice-Ice Fruit Devil Fruit ability would be perfectly suited to counter it.
Addressing Aokiji, Sengoku ordered, “Aokiji, you will be responsible for this mission. Take Momousagi and Yamakaji and two battleships worth of Marines with you as well.
“Also, after a few days have passed, talk to Garp and try to convince him to either join you or operate around the sea area near the island selected for the construction of the G6 base.
“News about Weevil will reach the Whitebeard Pirates one way or another. If they try to make contact with him, it will create an opportunity to either capture or eliminate him.”
Although Sengoku didn’t want to go to war against the Whitebeard Pirates, he also didn’t want Weevil to go unpunished even more.
Furthermore, Sengoku had known Whitebeard for decades. He didn’t believe in the World Government’s analysis of Weevil being Whitebeard's biological son.
He was just taking precautions in case his belief turned out to be a lie.
If the World Government’s analysis turned out to be wrong, then it didn’t matter if Garp wasn’t successful in capturing Weevil in the short term.
They would have plenty of time to pursue Weevil in the future as he wasn’t much of a threat without the support of the Whitebeard Pirates.
Aokiji lazily nodded his head, acknowledging Sengoku’s orders.
On the inside, however, Aokiji was slightly resigned about how his sleep time would be disrupted in the near future.
‘A temperamental woman like Momousagi is a pain in the ass. Why can’t the Fleet Admiral assign another obedient Vice Admiral like Yamakaji?’
Such a thought rang through Aokiji’s mind in a slow manner as he left the Fleet Admiral’s office to prepare for departure.

[Grand Line, New World, Beehive Island…]
Clang—!!
Woosh—!
BANG——!!!
After Ochoku’s strength started decreasing from his peak state, he wasn’t able to withstand Whitebeard’s attack much longer.
Their final clash sent Ochoku flying, causing him to destroy numerous buildings along the way until he finally crashed into the skull-shaped formation at the center of the island.
Cough—!! Cough—!! Cough—!!
With great difficulty, Ochoku managed to extricate himself from the skull-shaped formation.
However, his efforts to stand were in vain as he coughed up blood and was forced to kneel.
Step—! Step—! Step—!
Hearing the sounds of footsteps coming closer, Ochoku looked up and saw that Whitebeard was nearing his location with incredible momentum.
There was no urgency in his demeanor as if the battle's outcome was already determined, and giving Ochoku some time to recover wouldn't change it.
"Hih! Hihahahaha~!! Whitebeard, I admit, I underestimated the strength you still possess despite your old age and illness.
“With my special Devil Fruit, I thought I would be able to outlast you. Cough–! Cough–!
“Huuu~! I didn’t expect the strength difference between the two of us to be so great that most of my stamina would be spent just trying to keep up with you.
“Hihahahaha~! Whitebeard! This is my last attack! Let’s end this!”
With just a single glance, Whitebeard was able to see that Ochoku was trying to act like an honorable warrior so that he would take it easy on the latter.
“Gurararara~! You are an idiot if you believe that you could deceive me, Ochoku!”
Whitebeard declared before swiftly bringing his Murakumogiri down on Ochoku, not giving him a chance to gather strength for his last attack.
His naginata, coated in potent Armament Haki, split Ochoku’s chest open from his left shoulder to his waist.
Spurt—!!
Blood gushed out like a fountain and the last of strength left Ochoku’s body.
Ochoku looked at Whitebeard with extreme unwillingness and hatred.
‘Bastard! He didn’t even give me a chance to use my last resort!’ This thought flashed through Ochoku’s mind before he closed his eyes for the final time.
“WOOHOOOO~!!! POPS WOOONNNNN~!!!”
All the members of the Whitebeard Pirates let out a collective cheer that rang throughout the island.
The next instant, all the remaining members of the Ochoku Pirates let go of their weapons and raised their hands in submission.
This marked the end of the war between the Whitebeard Pirates and the Ochoku Pirates.
