Another year has come to an end and although this project started in Feb 2019, this is only the third Christmas for this project. We have Kiki as our Christmas model this year, and it's the first time that we have cosplay related Christmas costumes after 2 years of random Xmas costumes, you might think there's nothing wrong with that, but after all, the name of this project has cosplay in it.

One bad news, the 2K video is impossible to save. In fact, it's a 1k video because it's a 2K video combined with two 1K videos, one side of the image is only 1088x1088, and since it was recorded with fisheye lens, the model’s face takes up a very small proportion of the frame, only around 100x100 pixel, so it doesn't have have enough detail to upscale it. I tried increasing its resolution by 2x-4x with different method, but the artifacts made the models look scary.

As for the frame rate, I doubled it to 60 fps and the result looks good. Unlike the previous method of blending 2 frames to form a new frame, it uses AI to generate a new frame between two frames, it's not perfect and there are some distortions in some frames, especially dealing with faster motion, but I still think it's pretty good.

I used the same tool to upscale all other 4K50 videos to 4K60, please note that even though they have the same video specs as the ones I shot with the R5C, the image quality was still different.

In the giantess trampling video, there are new light reflections that have never happened before, they come from the rubber sheet used to hold the camera, not too serious, also the reflection from the metal bar is still there even though I have spray painted it matte black, it's the hardest reflection to get rid of.
