New camera for photography

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I wish you all have a great time.

I wanted to buy a new camera for providing good quality photos here long time ago since my camera is quite old and the quality is not good enough if to compare with the latest models today.

I own GH1 and GH2(broken), I'm a fan of M43 and LUMIX because I like small equipment, but it seems they focus on Full Frame now and maybe giving up on M43 system. And recently, Sigma released a very small Full Frame camera - Sigma fp, I was struggling if I should still wait for a new M43 from LUMIX or just buy the Sigma fp, but the lenses for FF cameras are too big and expensive so I bought this fuji cam instead. The reason is simple, I can sell it more easily if I don't need it, besides, its size is acceptable and the price is not too expensive because this machine was released in 2018.

Anyway, you may ask me why I don't buy a new VR camera instead. The one I wanna buy for CFVR was not out yet when I bought this Fuji camera in November, some rumors even said they give up on it as the market is too small, but 8 months after its first appearance in an exhibition of US, the pre-production edition has come finally.

The price is $6000, much more expensive than the previous model K1 Pro. 2 Sigma fp + 2 fisheye lenses is still cheaper than this one and I know many other VR studios shooting their contents with 2 FF cameras but the reason I don't wanna do it is because 2 mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras can never get the best inter-ocular distance, and it's important for some people like me because I can't watch too long if the distance is not good. But I'm not quite sure if it is the main reason makes me feel nauseated or dizzy.

This VR camera uses GH5s sensor, it means that it has good low light performance. This is always a big problem for consumer level VR camera as their sensor are too small, I need to bring many lighting equipment to get the best result otherwise the image will be noisy and blurry. With this VR camera, my works won't always look so bright with everything.

Anyway, one compact size VR camera is more convenient for small studio like mine. I am saving money now and hope that I can afford it when the final version is out.

I will upload the photos(Lin & Yi) I took from the fuji camera for all patrons this month today, please check the post below :)
