Some Animation Testing (Behind the Scenes)

I'm trying to figure out the best way to present a comic page with an animated panel, so please excuse the lack of any context or narrative on this. I just made a typical x-ray animation and tossed a couple of older sketches in there to populate the rest of the page. I plan to include a few of these (relatively simple) animations in each chapter or issue for certain tiers -- not sure how many yet since they can be a bit time consuming to create.

- The first image is the sequence exported as a GIF -- fine on its own, but color quality is limited.

- The second image is the static page with the animated panel, all exported as a GIF. Works okay, but still the issue of quality in regard to the rest of the page and it can sometimes cause some strange flickering.

- Third image is attempting to use APNG instead of GIF. Much higher quality and a bigger file than GIF, but nicer to look at. Problem is, I'm not even sure it will play in all browsers. Doesn't seem to want to play here for some reason and it's frustrating -- might just be too large at 926k.

APNG is by far the best option as long as file sizes don't get too big and it actually plays. Uploading that one as an attachment in case it doesn't play here in the post.

Getting the timing worked out on this can be tricky too -- they're not all the same.

Will update more when I can!
